Santo Cabo’s Daily Rituals

Santo Cabo’s Daily Rituals

A simple rhythm for healthy skin. Cleanse, hydrate, protect, and restore.

Healthy skin responds best to consistency. The Santo Cabo ritual follows a simple rhythm that aligns with how skin naturally functions throughout the day.

  • Cleanse the skin.
  • Hydrate it deeply.
  • Seal that hydration into place.
  • Protect it from the environment.

Each step prepares the skin for the next. Hydration comes first. Protective oils seal that hydration into the skin. Actives can be added wherever they best support your skin’s needs.

Face Ritual
Morning Ritual (AM)
or after any shower

1. Cleanse

Carbon Facial Soap

Wet your face with warm water.
Lather the soap in your hands and wash your face with the soapy hands.
Rinse thoroughly.

2. Actives (Optional)

If you use dermatologist-recommended actives such as Retin-A, Vitamin C, or other treatments, apply them now. If one of your actives feels strong or irritating, apply Prime (Step 3) first, then apply the active afterward. The aloe base helps buffer the intensity while still allowing the ingredient to work.

3. Hydrate

Prime

Apply several pumps to the:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Back of neck
  • Chest / décolletage

You may also apply Prime to usually over-exposed areas, such as:

  • Backs of hands
  • Forearms

Prime restores hydration to the skin and prepares it to receive protective oils.

4. Protect

Age Care

Place a small amount on your fingertips.
About 5-6 drops are usually enough.

Press evenly over the face, then apply additional Age Care to areas that will be exposed to sunlight or UV during the day:

  • Neck
  • Back of neck
  • Décolletage
  • Backs of hands
  • Forearms

Only a thin layer is needed. If your skin appears slightly orange, you are likely using more than necessary.

5. Finish (Optional)

Allow Age Care to absorb for a moment.
Then apply makeup, sunscreen, or both if desired.

Because the skin is already hydrated and sealed, you do not need a moisturizing sunscreen. A sunscreen designed simply to block UV works well.

Essential Waters (Anytime)

Essential Waters can be used throughout the day whenever your skin needs hydration or refreshment. In hot & dry areas - this is all day. Think of it as your skin’s personal refresher… always there to restore balance and bring your skin back to life.

Mist lightly across the face to restore moisture and balance.

Especially helpful:

  • Before applying makeup
  • After sun exposure
  • During travel or dry weather (think air travel)
  • Anytime skin feels dull or tired

Think of it as a midday reset for your skin.

Evening Ritual (PM)

Evening is when the skin cleanses, restores, and repairs.

1. Remove Makeup (Optional)

Cleansing Milk

If you are wearing makeup, sunscreen, or heavier products:

Apply a few pumps to a cotton pad or cotton ball.
Gently wipe the face and eye area to lift makeup and residue.
Rinse with warm water.

This step leaves a light layer of nourishing oil from the olive oil base.

2. Cleanse

Carbon Facial Soap

Wet your face with warm water.
Lather the soap in your hands and wash gently.
Rinse thoroughly.

3. Exfoliate (Weekly or As Needed)

Refine

Wet your hands and pour a small amount into your palm.

Rub your fingers in your palm to create a soft paste.

Massage onto damp skin using light circular motions. Focus on areas that collect oil or congestion, such as the nose and chin. Leave briefly, then rinse thoroughly.

Refine is a fine polishing exfoliant, not an aggressive scrub.

4. Hydrate

Prime

Apply several pumps to the face, neck, and décolletage.

Prime restores hydration and prepares the skin for overnight repair.

5. Repair

Face Gold

Warm a small amount between your fingertips and press evenly over the face and neck.

Face Gold acts as a protective and restorative balm while you sleep.

6. Actives (Optional)

If using actives such as Retin-A or Vitamin C, apply them either before or after Prime, depending on how your skin responds.

Body Ritual

The skin on the body follows the same rhythm as the face:

Cleanse. Replenish. Hydrate.

Because body skin is thicker and more resilient, the routine remains intentionally simple.

Body Ritual (AM or PM)

1. Cleanse

Eucalyptus Spearmint Body Soap

Wet the body with warm water.

Lather one of Santo Cabo’s handcrafted body soaps using a (sea) sponge, washcloth, or body scrubber.

Cleanse the skin gently, focusing on areas that collect sweat or oils.

Rinse thoroughly.

2. Replenish (Optional)

Silk Body Oil

If your skin feels dry or depleted, apply Silk while still in the shower.

Smooth a small amount over damp skin. The water helps distribute the oil evenly and improves absorption.

Avoid applying oil to the bottoms of the feet to prevent slipping.

Silk restores softness and leaves a subtle, healthy glow.

3. Hydrate

Aloe & Olive Body Lotion

After stepping out of the shower, pat your skin lightly with a towel, leaving it slightly damp.

Apply lotion generously across the body, focusing on areas prone to dryness:

  • Arms
  • Legs
  • Elbows
  • Knees
  • Shoulders
  • Hands
  • Heels

The combination of aloe hydration and nourishing oils & butters helps restore moisture that lasts throughout the day.

4. Extra Care (Optional)

For dry or tired feet, apply a small amount of Silk Body Oil before putting on socks.

This helps soften the skin overnight or throughout the day, especially if you spend long hours walking or standing.

Head-to-Toe Rhythm

After completing the body ritual:

Morning → follow the Morning Face Ritual
Evening → follow the Evening Face Ritual

Together, they create a simple system that supports the skin from head to toe.

Why This Rhythm Works

The Santo Cabo ritual follows the skin’s natural daily cycle.

Morning focuses on hydration and protection.
Evening focuses on cleansing and repair.

Prime restores hydration and supports the skin barrier.
Age Care helps protect skin from environmental stress and sun exposure.
Face Gold supports overnight restoration.
Refine clears buildup, allowing the skin to absorb nutrients more effectively.
Essential Waters restores hydration throughout the day.

The goal is not complexity.

It is in balance and consistency.

Skincare Made by People, Not Factories

“Natural” has lost its meaning.

Most products labeled that way are still mass-manufactured, white-labeled, and produced far from the people selling them.

Santo Cabo is different.

Every product is:

  • Made in our own lab
  • Formulated by Santo Cabo’s Co-Founder Anastasia Grahn
  • Produced in small batches
  • Built with active ingredients we personally source and use ourselves

No fillers.
No factories.
No compromises.

Notable Mentions

Goop

“We first stumbled upon Santo Cabo’s hand-poured activated charcoal and eucalyptus-scented soaps while browsing the shops at Flora Farm. Turns out, their newly opened freestanding shop near the Cabo San Lucas marina is home to more than just these organic, locally-sourced, hand-poured soaps. For example, there’s a range of baby products, avocado massage oil, calendula face balm, and something called sand soap, which calls on Baja Sur sand as a powerful exfoliation agent.”

Keia McLean

“I honestly feel that they have, hands down, the best beauty products that I have found. I know I talked about a couple of items in my All About That Body post, but I wanted to get specific and talk about the differences I've seen in my skin since using them, and J too! ;).”

They Call Her Smith

“They have this adorable, onsite store where you can buy organic, locally sourced, handcrafted, botanical body care products via Santo Cabo. I have the lotion in the “Blood Orange” scent, and wish I could have brought a whole crate of it home with me. So lightweight, super moisturizing, and it smells divine! They also sell these products at their markets.”

Harper's Bazaar

“The farm's existing Santo Cabo store is a must-visit for the brand's avocado soap and rose lotion.”

Free People (Instagram)

“Off the beaten path with @ltengy. Below, she shares three hidden gems discovered in Cabo: 3. In town, just off the beaten path, I stumbled upon 'The Market' by Flora Farms. The space, designed to resemble a roadside farmers' stand or farmers market, offers a variety of fresh produce that is supplied daily from the nearby Flora Farms, as well as homemade granola, pastries, and Santo Cabo's homemade soaps and lotions.”
